The last 6 weeks
The last six weeks have been really crazy for me. We have been really busy with my grandmother who is getting a lot better after almost losing her about 4 times. My husband is getting ready to deploy again so I have been taking care of our kids while he has been gone training. I had sinus surgery that I am still recovering from which gave me an awful UTI and bronchitis that I am afraid has turned into pneumonia which I am getting seen about that next week. My youngest daughter turned 1 on May 20. We were going to go on a family vacation but because of the training schedule, we won't be able to go. That has been about all that I can think of that has happened in the last six weeks. My topic that I am writing about hopefully will influence pregnant women to stop smoking.

My writing style
My writing style is free writing and brainstorming. I love to freestyle and write whatever is on my mind down. Brainstorming is the perfect start to writing, in my opinion. It lays out the paper almost exactly and is easy to follow. My biggest academic challenge is and will be staying on top of schoolwork. There is always something going on in my life, whether it is a very ill family member to getting surgery. It is very easy to procrastinate the work until it is or almost late.
Plagiarism
Hello,
I feel a lot better from my surgery. Still quite sore and I developed a bad UTI from the anesthesia and also bronchitis. I am still not fully back to my self needless to say.
Plagiarism is a very important part of writing an essay, book, etc. To plagiarize is to write something that someone else has first and not give them credit for it. We need to cite our sources first not to plagiarize but to give the actual person that said it the credit for their work. If someone was to use my work and not give me credit I would be upset. I spent all that time to research and write and someone else receives the credit, that is not right. I have been a victim of plagiarism in school but didn't report it to my teacher. Plagiarism of professionals should be reported to the supervisor or boss immediately.

Wednesday (tomorrow)
I am going to get my surgery tomorrow. I am freaking out about it because I haven't had surgery in almost 10 years and I've never been put to sleep before. Not only that, but it's all going to take place on my face!!! I am nervous and scared and everything else. I am going to try and stay on top of my school work as much as I can but depending on how everything goes, I may not be able to do very much for a few days.
Being an online student
Being an online student is very convenient. We can do our work when we find a chance to and can be in the comfort of our homes. The traditional classroom is very boring, in my opinion. You sit there forever it seems in a desk that is hard and uncomfortable. I like that I have made some relationships with fellow classmates that I can relate to. With the world becoming more of technology, being online can make the students closer even though we don't see each other in person. Blogging is really cool because we can write back and forth about whatever was on our minds that day whether it pertains to school or our kids.
The two topics that I am trying to decide on is smoking while pregnant and effects of colitis for elderly people. I am leaning more on smoking while pregnant because more people can relate to that topic more than colitis. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

One long day!!!
I went today for my first epidural cortisone shot. Man it hurt!!!! I am so sore, have a bad headache, and to top it off, both of my kids are in the worst of moods. I can't put any pressure on my back because it's swollen at the injection sites and the disks are swollen. It should get better in the next few days. I think the thing that irritates me the most is my husband. I don't he was ready for kids. He doesn't have the patience and yells at them when they want something or sleepy. That makes me yell at him which doesn't matter. Next week I go to my doctor to get set up for my surgery on my sinus cavity and I really dread him being home "helping" with the kids while I'm recovering, which can take up to 7 weeks or longer. I'm just ready to go to bed until another day starts tomorrow.

Typical Saturday Night
I am going to give my first blog a try. I still really don't know what I am doing. What I understand about blogging is pretty much write about anything. Any suggestions about what I should do would be greatly appreciated. :) There is nothing on television as usual. My two kids are playing and eating pickles and it's nasty and rainy outside. Typical Louisiana weather. We are cooking beer butt chicken for dinner with mashed potatoes and Velveeta with rotel dip. That is pretty much all that is going on. So, I need to finish up supper. I will write another later. Have a good Saturday night!!! :)
